1. About stageready

stageready is a platform that helps students research and organize their college applications for performing arts programs (Musical Theatre, Acting, and related fields). We provide information about college programs, application requirements, tools to track your application process, and a directory of performing arts coaches.

2. Eligibility

Age Requirements

• You must be at least 13 years old to use stageready
• If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agrees to these Terms
• If you are a parent or guardian agreeing on behalf of a minor, you are responsible for their use of the service

Account Responsibility

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account
• You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account

3. Our Service

What We Provide

• A searchable database of performing arts college programs
• Information about program requirements, deadlines, and audition details
• Tools to save and organize schools you're interested in
• Features to track your application status
• A directory of performing arts coaches ("Coach Directory") where users can browse coach profiles and contact coaches

Information Accuracy

We strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information about college programs. However:

• Program requirements, deadlines, and details may change without notice
• You should always verify information directly with the schools before making application decisions
• We are not responsible for errors or outdated information
• stageready is a research tool, not a substitute for official school communications

Service Availability

• We aim to keep stageready available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access
• We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time
• We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes

4. Coach Directory

About the Coach Directory

stageready offers a directory of performing arts coaches. The Coach Directory allows users to browse coach profiles and contact coaches through the platform. The Coach Directory is available to users with a paid subscription.

Coaches Are Independent

Coaches listed in the Coach Directory are independent professionals, not employees, agents, or representatives of stageready. stageready does not:

• Employ, supervise, or control coaches in any way
• Set, regulate, or receive any portion of coaching fees
• Guarantee the availability, quality, or outcome of any coaching services
• Participate in or mediate any coaching relationship or agreement between you and a coach

Any coaching arrangement you enter into is solely between you and the coach. stageready is not a party to that relationship and has no responsibility for services provided (or not provided) by any coach.

No Endorsement or Vetting

• We do not perform background checks on coaches
• We do not verify coaches' credentials, qualifications, certifications, or professional history
• We do not verify claims made by coaches, including student placement claims (e.g., "Students Accepted To" listings)
• We do not guarantee the accuracy of any information in coach profiles

You are solely responsible for evaluating and selecting any coach. We strongly recommend that you independently verify a coach's qualifications, references, and claims before engaging their services.

Contacting Coaches

When you contact a coach through stageready, certain information you provide in the contact form (such as your name, email address, grade level, and message) will be shared directly with the coach. By submitting a contact inquiry:

• You consent to sharing the information in the contact form with the coach
• You understand that once shared, the coach's handling of your information is governed by their own privacy practices, not ours
• You understand that stageready retains a log of contact inquiries (sender, recipient, and message content) for safety and dispute resolution purposes, but does not monitor or review these logs unless a concern is reported
• You understand that stageready cannot guarantee that a coach will respond to your inquiry

Advisory for Users Under 18

Coach Responsibilities

Coaches who create profiles on stageready agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information in their profile
• Conduct themselves professionally and ethically in all interactions
• Not discriminate against any user on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or any other protected characteristic
• Handle all personal information received through stageready responsibly and in compliance with applicable laws
• Not engage in any misleading, deceptive, or fraudulent behavior

Coach Profile Content

Coaches retain ownership of the content they submit for their profiles (bio, headshot, education, etc.). By creating a Coach Directory profile, coaches grant stageready a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote their profile content as part of the service. If a coach deletes their profile or their account is terminated, we will remove their profile from the directory.

Reporting Concerns

If you experience or suspect misconduct, harassment, fraud, or any other concerning behavior from a coach listed on stageready, please contact us immediately at support@stageready.com. We take all reports seriously and may remove any coach from the directory at our sole discretion.

5. Acceptable Use

You Agree To:

• Use stageready only for its intended purpose (college research and application tracking)
• Provide accurate information in your account
• Respect other users and our team
• Report bugs or security issues responsibly

You Agree Not To:

• Share your account credentials with others
• Create multiple accounts for the same person
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access stageready without permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the service
• Use stageready for any illegal purpose
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
• Upload malicious code or content

6. User Content

Your Data

• You retain ownership of any content you create (such as notes or custom lists)
• By using stageready, you grant us permission to store and display your content as needed to provide the service
• You can delete your content at any time by removing it or deleting your account

Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about stageready, we may use them to improve our service without any obligation to you.

7. Intellectual Property

Our Content

• stageready's design, features, and original content are protected by copyright and other laws
• You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission
• The stageready name and logo are our trademarks

School Information

• Information about colleges and universities is compiled from public sources
• We do not claim ownership of school names, logos, or official program descriptions
• School trademarks belong to their respective institutions

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

We do not warrant that:

• The service will meet your specific needs
• The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Information about schools will be accurate or complete
• Coaches listed in the Coach Directory are qualified, competent, or suitable for your needs
• Information provided by coaches (including credentials and student placement claims) is accurate or truthful
• Any errors will be corrected

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• stageready and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• We shall not be liable for any loss resulting from your use of or inability to use the service
• We shall not be liable for decisions you make based on information found on stageready
• We shall not be liable for any actions, conduct, or services of coaches listed in the Coach Directory
• We shall not be liable for any coaching relationship, agreement, or dispute between you and a coach
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to use stageready (which is $0 for free accounts)

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, or otherwise).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless stageready, its team, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from:

• Your use of the service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Your interactions with coaches, including any coaching relationship, agreement, or dispute

11. Account Termination

By You

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed as described in our Privacy Policy.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms
• You engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
• Your account poses a security risk
• We are required to do so by law

We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination, unless prohibited by law or urgent circumstances exist.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do:

• We will post the updated Terms on this page
• We will update the "Last Updated" date
• For significant changes, we will notify you by email (if you have an account)

Your continued use of stageready after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you disagree with the changes, you may delete your account.

13. Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution

Before filing any legal claim, you agree to contact us and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Jurisdiction

Any legal action must be brought in the state or federal courts located in the United States, and you consent to the jurisdiction of these courts.

14. General Provisions

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and stageready.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights without restriction.
