•Repertoire should be appropriate for your voice type and level of training
•Perform for a jury of music faculty members

What's The Process
ADMISSION AUDITION
•All potential music majors must pass a live audition before the music faculty
•Audition determines acceptance into the Department of Music
SOPHOMORE REVIEW
•BM Performance students must pass a second audition at the end of the sophomore year
•This audition determines official admission into the performance degree program
•Students who do not pass may be redirected to BA Music or Music Education tracks
ACADEMIC STANDARDS
•Must maintain a minimum B average in major applied area
•Must maintain a minimum C average in all other required music courses
•Failure to meet standards may result in dismissal from the department

MUSIC SCHOLARSHIPS
•Music scholarship recipients must participate in at least two ensembles (large and small) each semester
•Merit-based institutional scholarships are automatically reviewed during the university admissions process
•Apply by the December 1 preferred scholarship deadline for best consideration
