PROGRAM RECOGNITION

•Curriculum covers ballet, modern, jazz, tap, world dance, choreography, dance history, and dance criticism

PERFORMANCE & PRODUCTIONS
•Extensive opportunities: informal dance showcases, annual dance concert, musicals, and local, regional, and national dance festivals and conferences
•Choreographing opportunities for main stage performances
•Affiliated with the American College Dance Association, CORPS de Ballet International, and the National Dance Education Organization
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
•Creative Consultants program pairs students with accomplished alumni mentors
•Students have attended summer intensives with Paul Taylor Dance Company School (NYC) and North Carolina Dance Theatre School (Charlotte)
•Study abroad opportunities at The ProDanza Italia/USA Workshop in Tuscany, Italy
•Internship opportunities with Walt Disney World (Florida) and Busch Gardens (Virginia)

•State-of-the-art Mary Katherine Wiedebusch Dance Studio with sprung floor, walls of windows, new sound system, and marley floor
•5 theatres of varied sizes and setups at the Canady Creative Arts Center
