TRAINING
•Over 40-year tradition of preparing students for professional dance careers
•Multidisciplinary curriculum: ballet, modern, jazz/theatre with acting and musical theatre studies
•Daily ballet classes plus specialized training in modern and jazz/theatre dance
•Two years of private voice lessons and music coursework
•One full year of acting training for all dance majors
•Curriculum includes dance history, pedagogy, improvisation, choreography, tap, pointe, kinesiology, and pas de deux
PERFORMANCE & PRODUCTIONS
•Partner company exchanges with Dayton Ballet and Dayton Contemporary Dance Company (DCDC)
•Selected students may serve as apprentices or full company members
•Collaborations with Dayton Opera, Human Race Theatre Company, and Dayton Philharmonic
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
•Alumni with Luna Negra, DCDC, Rockettes, BalletMet, Disney World, cruise ships, national tours, and Broadway
•Senior choreographic project on the main stage in February
•Distinguished guest artists including Dwight Rhoden, Complexions Contemporary Ballet
