Training
•The performance track is the applied side of Wofford's music minor, pairing four credit hours of private instruction with six hours of ensemble so the emphasis stays on playing and singing.
•Private lessons are offered on voice and a range of instruments, with a maximum of four credit hours of MUS 260 counting toward the minor.
•Track electives include Diction — restricted to declared vocal performance minors — plus Instrumental Chamber Music, Diatonic Harmony and Advanced Topics in Music, letting singers and instrumentalists specialise.
•Elements of Music Theory and three semesters of concert attendance anchor the track alongside the applied work.
Performance & Productions
•Countable ensembles include Wofford Singers, Men's Glee Club, Women's Choir, Chamber Singers, Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble, String Ensemble and Wofford Concert Orchestra.
•Wofford Singers, Instrumental Chamber Music and the Concert Orchestra carry their own audition or instructor approval.
Facilities
•Montgomery Music Building houses practice rooms, pianos and a limited stock of band instruments; private-lesson students may request after-hours building access.
