•Bullet: The Theatre Department prepares students for competency in theatre acting and directing, design and technical theatre, theatre history, and dramatic literature, giving students a foundation for further training in professional theatre while pursuing a liberal arts education
•Bullet: Students from any area of study are encouraged to participate in the frequent productions that are part of the general program of aesthetic and cultural development offered to the entire student body
Training
•Bullet: The Theatre Minor requires 24 semester hours with grades of "C-" or better: a 12-hour core of Introduction to Theatre, Stagecraft, and Acting, plus 12 hours of electives chosen from Shakespeare, Dramatic Literature I, Dramatic Literature II, Lighting Design, Scene Design, Directing I, Theatre History, Advanced Topics in Theatre, Applied Theatre, Directing II, or the Capstone Project
