Training
•Bullet: The BA in Music requires a minimum of 120 credit hours for graduation, with at least 70 non-music hours built into the degree
•Bullet: A maximum of 50 hours in one music discipline is allowed to count toward the BA
•Bullet: Required coursework includes the Harriman-Jewell Series, two years of music theory and ear training, collaboration/production and concert management courses, and a course on the non-Western music tradition
•Bullet: BA majors complete eight semesters of applied study and ensemble participation plus a Half Recital and a Collaborative Synthesis Experience capstone
•Bullet: The BA in Music can be combined with another major, and a student may add a second music major by completing one of the BS music programs
Performance & Productions
•Bullet: Students perform in vocal, instrumental, and choral ensembles
•Bullet: The program includes opera workshops, holiday concerts, collaborations with Theatre, and Cardinal Sound band opportunities
