•Bullet: Coursework includes two years of music theory and ear training, keyboard skills, Musical Leadership, and methods courses covering Elementary Music, Vocal Music Methods in the Secondary Schools, Secondary Instrumental Music, Woodwind Methods, and Brass and Percussion Methods
•Bullet: Music education majors complete eight primary ensembles in their area of performance plus two secondary ensembles in the opposite area and two small ensembles
•Bullet: Students seeking Missouri K-12 teacher certification (vocal or instrumental) pair this major with a Secondary Education major, or alternatively complete a BS degree in Music followed by a Master of Arts in Teaching
•Bullet: A student may earn only one major among music, music performance, or music education
