Be admitted to Wichita State University before registering for SPA degree acceptance

Submit the SPA degree-acceptance registration for an audition and interview

After program acceptance, complete the FAFSA

After program acceptance, submit the separate SPA Scholarship Application; March 1 is the preferred deadline

Enroll and schedule an advising appointment

Admission is by competitive audition

Fall enrollment only

A minimum 2.000 GPA is required; 2.500 is required for department scholarship consideration

Musical Theatre majors must audition for all department musicals

Audition Process

Choose a published campus date, request a different in-person appointment, or select the virtual option

Audition Expectations

Complete the group dance call before an individual audition and interview

Individual audition and interview appointments are scheduled in 15-minute time slots

Musical Theatre applicants are also considered for the Acting and Dance programs

Scholarship Info

Spa Scholarship

More than $80,000 is awarded annually in undergraduate scholarships

Eligibility

Prospective students must be admitted to Wichita State University and accepted into a School of Performing Arts degree program

Most scholarships require FAFSA completion

A minimum 2.500 GPA is required for department scholarship consideration

Application

Submit the separate SPA Scholarship Application after degree-program acceptance

The scholarship application includes a short essay about financial need

March 1 is the preferred deadline; late applications may not be funded
