Presidential Scholarship ($16,000/Year, Renewable)
•Awarded to students with exceptional talents in theatre
•Evidence of outstanding talent required (taped performances, recommendations)
•Preference given to applicants who apply by November 15
•Finalists contacted by early March; winners notified late March
•Scholars with theatre interest given preference for Secrest Artists Series internship
Departmental Scholarships
•Dyeann & Henry Jordan Scholarship — up to $2,500 for junior/senior theatre majors (merit-based)
•Johnnie Collins III Drama Scholarship — awarded spring of freshman year to student showing most professional promise
•Harold C. Tedford Travel Award — for rising juniors/seniors, supports theatre-related travel
•James Dodding Theatre Award — annual award for theatre major/minor displaying commitment and integrity
•Morgan Judd Foundation Scholarship — $5,000 for dancer-scholars with financial need
Expectations
•Scholarship recipients expected to remain active in department productions and events
•Must take on a major production responsibility each semester
