Eligibility

Transfer students are encouraged to take THEA 1000 during their first UWG semester

Transfer Pathway

Transfer students may take THEA 1000 in their first UWG semester to prepare for the internal BFA audition or portfolio jury. Admission to the BFA still depends on passing the faculty review.

What's The Process

Audition Process

Students begin as Pre-Theatre majors and complete at least 15 credit hours with a 2.5 GPA before BFA consideration

Complete THEA 1000 to prepare for a juried audition or portfolio presentation before a faculty committee

The jury takes place at the end of the semester

Incoming students may audition or present a portfolio at Destination Theatre for scholarship consideration

Encore Theatre Company Achievement Scholarship (~$800-$1,000/year, endowed) — talent demonstration via audition or interview

Destination Theatre — annual scholarship audition/interview and immersion event for high school seniors

Continuing Students

Multiple endowed scholarships ranging from $400-$1,000/year

Awards based on GPA, dedication, and financial need
