Live Audition
•Held in the Performing Arts Center — check in at the lobby starting at 8:15 AM
•Arrive at least one hour early to check in and warm up
•Audition on your primary instrument or voice
•A brief sight-reading and pitch-matching check may be included — used for assessment, no prior experience required
•Audition room number provided at check-in
Video Audition
•Submit videos as shared links to YouTube or Vimeo (unlisted, not private)
•Each selection may be recorded separately with multiple links
•Keep your instrument fully in the frame (hands and upper body for piano)
•You may be contacted for a Zoom interview including pitch matching and sight reading
•Links must remain active until results are received
•Video submission deadline: February 27 at noon
Results
•Audition and scholarship results sent by April 1
•Acceptance to the music major does not guarantee university admission
Teaching Track
•Audition on your principal instrument or voice (one piece of any genre) to enter the major
•The teaching-disposition and certification components are completed after enrollment through Music Education coursework and the Woodring College of Education application
