Application Process
•Bullet: Submit the Audition Request Form on the CFPA Music website
•Bullet: Form opens November 1 for the following academic year
•Bullet: The Audition Request Form acts as the application to the music program
•Bullet: Separate from the university application — must also apply to WWU through Admissions
Request Deadlines
•Bullet: February 7 audition: request by February 6 at noon
•Bullet: February 28-March 1 audition: request by February 27 at noon
•Bullet: Video submissions: due February 27 at noon
Placement (Not Admission)
•Bullet: Admitted students complete music theory, aural skills, and keyboarding placement assessments — for course placement only, not admission
Capacity
•Bullet: Capacity-constrained major — composition space is limited
•Bullet: Applicants who are not ready to submit a portfolio may audition for another music major (the BA is recommended) and submit a composition portfolio after enrolling, though later acceptance is not guaranteed
