Training
•Bullet: A 5-year collaborative program between Western's Don Wright Faculty of Music and Fanshawe College that compresses 6 years of coursework into 5, combining the Western Bachelor of Music with Fanshawe's two-year Music Industry Arts diploma
•Bullet: Students complete Years 1, 2, and 4 at Western and Years 3 and 5 at Fanshawe, layering Fanshawe's Music Industry Arts Levels 1-4 onto Western coursework
Degree Flexibility
•Bullet: Entry is a competitive second-year application (deadline March 31) evaluated on academic standing, an interview, and a supplemental portfolio by a joint Western-Fanshawe committee, admitting up to ten students a year; students who withdraw after year 3 may continue in the BMus program, and applicants not offered a place in MRA may apply independently to Fanshawe's diploma through OCAS
Value
•Bullet: Summer courses taken between years 3-4 or 4-5 carry no incremental tuition, and students keep full-time benefits (health plan, recreation facilities, bus pass) at whichever institution they're enrolled full-time in
