Audition Process
•Bullet: Pre-screen application required before the final Musical Theatre audition
•Bullet: Submit materials in Acceptd by the deadline for the selected audition date
•Bullet: Applicants receive prescreen decision and audition details after review
•Bullet: Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA required
•Bullet: Must apply and be accepted by both WCU and the School of Stage & Screen
•Bullet: All auditioning freshmen are automatically considered for Stage & Screen scholarships
•Bullet: Complete the WCU scholarship application by February 1 for scholarship consideration
Audition Expectations
•Bullet: Final audition may be live on campus or via Zoom by invitation after prescreen
•Bullet: Be prepared to workshop any selections
•Bullet: You may use prescreen materials or change selections if the requirements remain the same
•Bullet: In-person auditions: bring clearly marked sheet music; accompanist provided
•Bullet: Remote auditions: have piano-only backing tracks queued for both songs
•Bullet: Dance call included; wear rehearsal attire that allows movement, with jazz shoes or booties recommended
