•Apply and be admitted to WSC, then log in to the WSC scholarship portal

•Mark that you are interested in music (music major not required)

•Music scholarship application deadline: February 1, 2026

•Apply directly through the WSC website

•No application fee

Educator Preparation

•Admission to WSC does not guarantee entry into the Educator Preparation Program

•Students advance through three benchmark levels, including a background check and field experiences

•The Praxis exam is required for Nebraska teaching licensure (not a graduation requirement)

Upper-Division Jury

•A qualifying jury audition before a faculty panel is required to advance to 300-level applied study

Audition Process

•No audition is required for admission to the Vocal Music Education program

•Admission is through the WSC university application

•An optional music scholarship audition is available to all students (music major not required)

Performance Area

•Declare a primary performance area and prepare one or two pieces from standard contest repertoire for the scholarship audition (no popular music)
