Scholarship Audition Requirements

These requirements are from the Fall 2026 entry cycle. Fall 2027 requirements are typically posted between August and October and usually change only slightly — confirm on the official source before submitting.

Optional audition for scholarship consideration only; it is not required for program admission.

Songs

One or Two Pieces

Prepare one or two pieces from standard contest repertoire for voice

Transfer Pathway

The Vocalist concentration follows the BA Music Performance transfer pathway: WSC evaluates accredited-institution credit for advanced standing, and an AA/AS with at least 60 transferable hours generally brings junior standing. The Music Department still determines how transferred courses apply to this concentration and vocal emphasis.

In-person auditions held in Peterson Fine Arts Building

Recording option available if unable to attend in person

Additional activities include sample classes, campus tours, individual lessons, and rehearsals with WSC ensembles
