Admission Pathway

First apply to and enroll at the University of Washington

Major Declaration

Current UW students complete the department's online orientation and meet with the Dance Advisor

Minimum 2.00 cumulative GPA

Complete 3 credits of academic dance coursework

Complete or register for at least one dance practice or technique course

Eligible students are accepted to the major on a rolling basis

Transfer Pathway

UW identifies preparation for the Dance major as a transfer-admission factor and provides community-college equivalencies. After enrolling, transfer students may declare the minimum-requirements major once they complete the published prerequisites.
