•Bullet: Music Major (BMus) requires 77 quarter hours in music core and degree requirements
•Bullet: A concentration is not required for the basic music major
•Bullet: Core curriculum includes music theory, ear training, music history, orchestration, conducting, applied music, and ensembles
•Bullet: Senior recital is required for music majors outside music production
Performance & Ensembles
•Bullet: Primary ensemble participation is required each quarter in residence
•Bullet: University Singers serves voice students; Wind Symphony serves brass, wind, and percussion students; Symphony Orchestra serves string students
•Bullet: One to two major ensemble tours per year, plus regular on- and off-campus performances
•Bullet: Annual PRISM concert showcases student talent
Degree Flexibility
•Bullet: Students may complete the basic music major or add Performance, Music Education, or M.I.T. preparation concentrations
