•Instrumental emphasis supports private lessons in woodwinds, brass, strings, keyboards, classical guitar, percussion, or music composition
•Students build theory, musicianship, piano proficiency, individual lessons on a selected major instrument, and ensemble experience

•Instrumental ensemble options include orchestra, symphonic band, chamber music, jazz band, and related advanced ensembles
•Orchestra and chamber music use post-enrollment placement auditions to determine repertoire and ensemble placement

•AA-T in Music provides a CSU transfer pathway for students continuing into music or similar majors
