Interview Requirements
•Theatrical resume (one-page resume highlighting relevant experience and training)
•STATEMENT OF INTENT (one to two paragraphs explaining why you are interested in pursuing a BA in Theatre, your goals, and what you hope to achieve)
•Upload materials via the VCU application portal before your interview date

ADMISSION
•BA in Theatre applicants do not audition — they interview with faculty
•No audition video required
MUSICAL THEATRE
•Students interested in Musical Theatre apply as Performance majors and audition for the MT concentration at the start of Fall semester
What's The Process
INTERVIEW FORMAT
•Faculty interview in your area of interest — be prepared to articulate your specific interests in the VCU program and to ask questions
•All interviews held 12:30–5 PM at W.E. Singleton Center for the Performing Arts, 922 Park Ave, Richmond, VA
DAY-OF SCHEDULE
•Group general info and Q&A session
•Faculty interview in area of interest
•Tour of Theatre facilities and conversation with current students
•Parents encouraged to attend — a parent Q&A session is held after applicants head to interviews
BEFORE YOUR INTERVIEW
•Log into the application portal to select your interview date and upload required materials
•The department will send more information in advance of your interview date
Scholarship Info
•First-year applicants who submit Common App and transcripts by November 1 are automatically considered for Presidential, Provost, and Deans' scholarships
