Audition Requirements

Dance

On-Campus Audition

Warm-up, ballet barre, modern center work, and improvisation section as part of a class

Short faculty interview follows the movement portion

Auditions take place at the VCU Dance Center in Richmond

Virtual Audition

Submit audition video through the VCU application portal

Choose two movement modalities to represent your work: traditional, contemporary, rhythm, or improvisation

Film material in one continuous shot, pausing only to change shoes or take a breath
