Audition Process
•Bullet: Step 1: Apply and be admitted to UW-Milwaukee
•Bullet: Step 2: Apply to Peck School of the Arts with digital pre-screen and interview
•Bullet: Submit monologue, two vocal excerpts and dance solo
•Bullet: All performances pre-recorded
•Bullet: Record in a studio or gym if possible
•Bullet: Include your name in the video files and upload them to a file sharing site
•Bullet: If you cannot meet in person, contact theatre-admission@uwm.edu to request a virtual option before submitting your application
Audition Expectations
•Bullet: In-person interview recommended; time may be available to present work and receive faculty feedback
•Bullet: You will be asked to repeat 32 bars of one of the pieces from your pre-screen, match pitch and work with the Music Director
•Bullet: Bring your tracks on your phone or tablet, or be prepared to sing a cappella
•Bullet: 8:30-9 a.m. - Check-in
•Bullet: 9-9:30 a.m. - Theatre Faculty Welcome and Overview
•Bullet: 9:30 a.m.-12 p.m. - Individual Auditions, Interviews and Group Tours
•Bullet: 12-12:30 p.m. - Lunch and Q&A with Current Theatre Students
•Bullet: 1-3:45 p.m. - Optional: sit in on an acting class
•Bullet: 6-10 p.m. - Optional: sit in on a rehearsal or performance
