Intensive applied instruction at the upper levels with full recitals at each level

Students are admitted to the performance program after the fourth semester of applied study

Repertoire List

Principal-instrument repertoire: Two contrasting works or movements, 10 minutes total; choose pieces that demonstrate your technical and musical range; sight-reading may be requested

Letters of Recommendation

Music teacher recommendation: Required from a teacher familiar with your musical ability and leadership potential; band students should include a letter from their current school band director; additional references are accepted; letters may be submitted by email

How to Apply

Complete the UW-Green Bay Music Admission and Scholarship Application via Qualtrics

Choose a preferred in-person audition date, or submit a video audition

Admission to the music major and minor is by audition

Placement

Admitted students take music theory and aural-skills placement diagnostics — for course placement only, not admission

What's The Process

Audition Format

Perform two contrasting works or movements (10 minutes total)

Percussionists may perform on up to three different instruments

Memorization is not required

In-person auditions on the Green Bay campus are preferred

Video auditions accepted — upload to YouTube and submit a shareable link

Video submissions must be received by April 1 for scholarship consideration
