STATEMENT OF PURPOSE (required)

Summarize reasons for pursuing a BFA and a career in theatre

PORTFOLIO (required)

10+ examples of designs, artwork, class work, or other items demonstrating talent, academic ability, and potential
All examples must have been executed within the last 2 years
May be presented in physical or digital form

Must be admitted to UVU before acceptance into the BFA

ENROLLMENT

Apply during freshman year or first year of study at UVU
Admission not guaranteed — annual portfolio review required for continuation

What's The Process

ADMISSION PROCESS

No performance audition required — admission determined through application, portfolio review, and interview
Meet with a theatre arts academic advisor for BFA and BA plan before applying
Sign up for interview and portfolio review after application review (scheduled mid-March)

Scholarship Info

DEPARTMENTAL TUITION WAIVERS

Available for theatre majors (minors not eligible)
Must be full-time (12+ credits/semester) with minimum 2.5 GPA (most recipients have 3.5+)
Waivers cannot exceed full tuition
Annual portfolio review required for Design majors
Awards are annual and do not carry over
Apply through the central UVU scholarship system in the spring
