•A minimum of 15 minutes of concert-level solo repertoire spanning varied stylistic periods and requiring advanced technique
•All pieces must be memorized
•Works must be chosen from diverse eras such as Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, 20th-century Spanish, and post-1960
•Example works: a Bach Lute Suite or Violin Partita movement, a Classical sonata or large theme and variations, a multi-movement mid-20th-century Spanish sonata, or a large post-1960 modern work
Scales & Technique
•Technical exercises including scales, slurs, and arpeggios
Sight-Reading
•Read from a written score (including upper fretboard positions) containing accidentals, multiple rhythms, and expressive markings
