•Bullet: State your name and hometown, then share something you are passionate about other than acting
•Bullet: Slate should be unrehearsed rather than scripted
•Bullet: Slate should be approximately 30 seconds, recorded as its own video titled "Slate"
Video Format
•Bullet: Each monologue should be approximately 1 minute, recorded as its own video titled "Monologue 1" and "Monologue 2"
•Bullet: Use clear video quality
FRAMING AND SETUP (from the department's Acting Audition Tutorial linked on the application page)
•Bullet: Film against a plain, uncluttered wall so you are the focus
•Bullet: Natural daylight works if there are no harsh shadows or anything obstructing parts of your face
•Bullet: Use a mid shot for most of the tape: a little space above your head, with the camera just below your shoulders
•Bullet: Use a slightly wider shot for the monologues
•Bullet: Place your reader and the person you are speaking to in your monologue just off camera, to the right or left; look directly into the camera only during the slate
