Monologues

THREE MONOLOGUES

One contemporary monologue — comic, 1:30 max
One contemporary monologue — dramatic, 1:30 max
One classical monologue — Shakespeare preferred

MATERIAL SELECTION

If not performing Shakespeare, a pre-18th century selection is a suitable alternative

DEPARTMENTAL SCHOLARSHIP

Up to $14,000 over four years ($3,500 per year)
Audition must be submitted by March 1

QUALIFICATIONS

New entering student (fall term entry only)
Experience in high school or community theatre productions
Demonstrated ability in stage movement, acting, and singing
Unweighted high school GPA of 3.0
Must maintain cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
