-Applicant chooses Option A or B:
-Option A: One pre-1970 + one post-1970 song (contrasting styles)
-Option B: One MT song + one contrasting song (any style)

Monologues
•MTCP Monologue Option A:
-One monologue from a published play or professional writer
-60-90 seconds
Dance
•MTCP Dance Option B:
-Dance/movement video required
-Show your best version of dancing/moving
-No specific technical requirements

Additional Materials
MTP Application Checklist:
•Current resume with contact info (phone, email, physical mailing address)
•Digital 8x10 HEADSHOT or photograph (JPEG or PNG preferred)
•Names and email addresses for TWO PROFESSIONAL REFERENCES
•1-2 page LETTER explaining reasons for pursuing a career in acting or musical theatre and career goals
•DANCE VIDEO (unlisted YouTube link) — MUST be submitted by Feb 16
•SINGING VIDEO (unlisted YouTube link, 60-90 seconds) — not a prescreen, used as reference

What's The Process
THE PROCESS:
1. Apply to University of Utah (recommended by December 1, 2025 for scholarship consideration)
2. Prepare MTP application materials (resume, headshot, 2 references, letter, dance video, singing video)
3. Register and pay $30 audition fee (fee waiver available — contact recruitment@theatre.utah.edu)
4. Schedule your MTP audition
5. Submit dance video before in-person audition (DEADLINE: Feb 16 — cannot receive offer without it)

•Local at University of Utah: Feb 14 & 15, 2026
NON-PRESCREEN MTCP PARTICIPANT — uses same materials as Musical Theatre Common Prescreen
