•1-2 page LETTER OF PURPOSE addressing: Why do you want a BFA in Stage Management from the University of Utah? What do you think makes a great stage manager?
•PORTFOLIO website or PDF sample of work including one or more of:
-Stage Management examples: rehearsal/performance notes or reports, staging notation, calling script
-Theatrical work examples: design renderings, photographs, technical drawings
-Creative or professional writing: formal essay, research paper, short story, speech, professional emails

What's The Process
THE PROCESS:
1. Apply to University of Utah (recommended by December 1, 2025)
2. Prepare SM application materials (resume, letter of purpose, portfolio)
3. Submit materials via university portal (NO COST — no audition fee)
4. After materials are reviewed, department will contact you to schedule an interview
NOTE: You will need your Common App login ID to submit your program application.
DEADLINES:
•University application: strongly recommended by Dec 1, 2025 (merit scholarship consideration)
•FAFSA priority date: March 1, 2026
•Enrollment confirmation: May 1
