Audition Requirements

Repertoire

Two memorized pieces from contrasting periods (Baroque, Classical, Romantic, or Twentieth/Twenty-first Century)

Scales & Technique

Fluency in major and minor scales and arpeggios

Sight-Reading

Sight-reading repertoire: intermediate-level literature (e.g., a Clementi sonatina)

What's The Process

Audition Process

Entrance to the BM in Performance is by audition only

Apply to Utah Tech, then complete the scholarship application and contact piano faculty to schedule an audition

Live on-campus auditions are held on published dates; recorded video auditions are also accepted

To submit a recording, send a video recording link via Google Drive or YouTube by May 1

Organ applicants audition within the Piano track
