Application Logistics
•Bullet: Apply to USF and select Dance as your major
•Bullet: Students may audition for the BFA Dance Program first, then apply to USF
•Bullet: USF encourages students to apply as soon as possible for departmental support consideration
•Bullet: All USF admissions applications must be submitted by March 1, 2027
•Bullet: Video audition submissions are scheduled to open September 5, 2026
•Bullet: The USF department page lists February 28, 2027 as the video audition deadline
•Bullet: In-person audition registration opens September 1, 2026
•Bullet: In-person registration closes 48 hours before each audition date or when capacity is reached
Eligibility
•Bullet: All prospective BFA Dance Performance majors must audition during the year before their first semester
•Bullet: Students must place into at least level I in both ballet and contemporary dance
•Bullet: BFA Dance Performance admission requires both USF admission and dance department acceptance
•Bullet: Students are assessed again by dance faculty at the end of their third semester to determine continued BFA eligibility
