Two Contrasting Songs

•Two contrasting songs of your choice (musical theatre or rock/pop)

•Maximum 2 minutes per song

•Cut versions are allowed

Monologues

One Monologue

•One monologue from any stage or screen play

•Maximum 2 minutes

•Any genre, age appropriate

Dance

Two Contrasting Dance Routines

•Two contrasting dance routines of your choice in any discipline

•Maximum 90 seconds per routine

•Routines can be contrasting styles or disciplines

Additional Materials

Headshot (Required)

•Upload a recent headshot during the application process

•Does not need to be a professional photograph

Dual Application

•Applicants wanting consideration for both PDMT and Commercial Dance should complete the PDMT audition requirements, ensuring one dance solo is a commercial routine

•Note in the comments box that you wish to be considered for both courses

Audition Fee

•No fee to audition at Urdang for any student

Supplementary Fee

•Mandatory £300 per year supplementary fee for costume, production, and venue costs (payable after enrollment)

Entry Requirements

•80 UCAS tariff points

•GCSE minimum grade 4 (C) in English Language and Mathematics

•International: IELTS 6.5 overall (minimum 6.0 each component)

•Contextual offers available for care-experienced and first-in-family applicants

What's The Process

Audition Process

•All first-round auditions are via video

•Submit one unlisted YouTube video containing your introduction, dance routines, songs, and monologue

•Confirmation of success, recall, or unsuccessful result within 14 days

•In-person recalls for UK-based applicants are expected between December 2026 and April 2027, usually Wednesdays

•International applicants may attend in person or submit a video

•Choice of recall dates offered after invitation
