•An opportunity to show your personality or share something unique about you
•Can be anything: a special skill, an interesting story, a passion speech, an instrument you play, etc.
IDEAS
•Singing or playing an original composition, song, poem, or choreographed dance
•Creating a comedic character or sketch
•Sharing a meaningful hobby or activity
•Performing in a language other than English
•Playing an instrument
•Making a how-to video on something you excel at
•Showcasing a different dance style (tap, hip hop, lyrical, ballet, etc.)

HEADSHOT
•Required — photo showing your face
RESUME
•Required — performance resume
SLATE VIDEO
•Required — record one introduction video stating your name and optional pronouns
•Speak loudly and clearly, directly at camera
•Maximum 10 seconds
•Do not slate individual performance videos — only one slate needed
RECOMMENDATION
•Required — letter of recommendation or email address of someone who can provide one

•Program participates in Musical Theater Common Prescreen (MTCP) for video submissions
•Song Option A, Monologue Option A, Dance Option A — no ballet required

ELIGIBILITY
•BA Musical Theatre is an auditioned program — acceptance is separate from university admission
•Current UNR students wanting to transfer into the program should audition in December
FINANCIAL AID
•To receive maximum consideration for financial aid, complete academic application by January 1
•Final financial aid application deadline: February 1
What's The Process
AUDITION OPTIONS
•Choose either a live on-campus audition OR a video submission via Acceptd
•Both options receive equal consideration
VIDEO AUDITION
•Submit all materials via Acceptd — this is NOT a prescreen; it is a complete audition
•Each piece must be filmed and uploaded as a separate file — no continuous videos
•Offers made on a rolling admission basis
•Students under strong consideration may be invited to a Zoom interview
LIVE AUDITION
•Held at the Lombardi Rec Center Building
•Includes dance combination, two songs, monologue, and group Q&A for parents
•Accompanist provided — bring sheet music in a 3-ring binder with start/stop markings
•Bring headshot and resume
•Availability is first-come, first-served — register via the on-campus audition request form
