Requirements
•Five Prepared Selections
•Prepare 4 pieces from memory, one in each major singing language: English, French, German, and Italian
•Must include both art songs and arias within the 4 pieces
•Show a minimum of 3 major musical styles across all selections
•May present possible cuts or sing only one verse/part of a da capo aria depending on length

•Oratorio Selection
•5th prepared selection: an oratorio piece
•May be sung using music (memorization not required for this piece)
Recitative (Given One Week in Advance)
•Brief Italian recitative excerpt sent exactly one week prior to audition
•Memorization optional but encouraged
•Not required for admission but strong performance helps with scholarship/assistantship consideration
Cold-Reading (Given in Audition)
•Four lines each of Italian, French, and German
•Helps faculty assess placement and make diction/language class recommendations
•Not required for admission but helps with scholarship consideration
