What's The Process

Audition Process

•All prospective music majors must audition for admission to the Music Department

•Audition takes place after admission to the university

•Schedule an audition through the Music Department

•Prospective students are encouraged to visit campus, receive a free lesson, and attend ensemble rehearsals

BM Performance Advancement

•Enrollment in the BM Performance degree is contingent upon passing a special performance jury at the end of the first semester

•Students are evaluated again at the end of their sophomore year

•Students who have not made progress for one calendar year must re-audition

Transfer Students

•Must perform an audition on their major instrument

•Must take placement exams in keyboard, music history, and theory
