Audition Requirements

Monologues

ONE MONOLOGUE (OPTION A)

•Approximately one minute

•Must be from a published play

•Should showcase your acting skills

Theatre Portfolio (Option B)

•Showcase samples of previous theatrical and/or creative projects

•Demonstrate who you are and what you have accomplished artistically

Wildcard / Special Skill (Optional)

•All applicants may submit additional materials of their choice: a dance combination, a special skill, a passion speech, an instrument you play, etc.

Additional Materials

Resume (required)

•Detailed theatre experience resume listing all previous theatre experiences and activities, on stage and off stage

Personal essay (required)

•One-page essay explaining your reason for choosing theatre arts as a college major and your ultimate career goals and objectives

•Julius and Alice Goldstein Scholarship (up to $1,000)

•Donald C. Cress Award (up to $1,000)

•Lois J. Skatrud Theatre Arts Endowed Scholarship (up to $2,500)

•Picken Scholarships ($1,500, renewable up to 4 years)

•August Wegner III Memorial Music Scholarship ($750)

Eligibility

•Must be admitted to the university by February 1 for scholarship consideration

•Scholarship qualification is part of the audition/interview process

•Arts and Humanities Scholarship Day available for newly admitted students
