Audition Expectations
•In-person and virtual auditions available
•Virtual: live Zoom call or pre-recorded video submission in any format
•A committee of Music faculty hears auditions
•Auditions begin at 2:30 PM
•Held at the Arts and Communication Center, 1001 Elmwood Ave, Oshkosh, WI
•Practice rooms available for warm-up
•Business casual recommended (no strict dress code)
Playing Audition
•All music majors, including Composition, complete an entrance audition on their primary instrument or voice
•Prepare repertoire that follows the requirements for your applied area or studio (Strings, Brass, Woodwinds, Voice, Piano, Guitar, or Percussion)
•Voice auditions require two memorized contrasting classical art songs (one in a foreign language) and must be accompanied
•Instrumental areas typically require contrasting solos plus the scales and technical work listed for that area
