Training
•The Brass performance emphasis centers individual applied instruction on the student's primary brass instrument, supported by theory, aural skills, keyboard study, music literature and history.
•Brass players complete the instrumental BM performance pathway and progress into upper-level study on their principal instrument.
Performance
•Large and small ensembles place brass musicians in both full-group and chamber settings, while resident and visiting performing artists add further models of professional practice.
•The degree prepares students for advanced study and professional performance; UW–Oshkosh reports national, regional and state honors among performance students and graduates entering conservatories, graduate schools, performance and college teaching.
