Classical Voice
•Prepare six contrasting classical selections in several languages.
•English is required; German, Italian, and French are advised; other foreign-language songs may also be considered.
•Selections may come from folk, baroque, classical, and 20th-century song repertoire.
•Within the six selections, include one opera aria and/or one oratorio solo.
•One Broadway selection may be included, but it is optional.
Jazz Vocalists
•Choose one blues, one ballad, and one jazz standard.
•Prepare the melody and an improvised solo for each selection.
•Memorize all audition repertoire.
•Prepare a vocalise, art song, or folk song that is not from the jazz repertoire.
