CDTPS combines theatre and performance theory, dramatic literature, dramaturgy, technology, and practice-based lab work.
Studio coursework includes acting, production, design, directing, and playwriting, with many advanced studio options after first-year foundations.
The program is available as Drama Major, Minor, and Specialist pathways within Arts & Science at St. George.
Performance & Productions
Students use the Helen Gardiner Phelan Playhouse and other performance and rehearsal spaces connected to the Centre.
DRM200Y1 Performance I provides an auditioned studio entry point focused on ensemble, non-verbal, improvisational, and scripted work.
Location
The St. George campus places CDTPS students in downtown Toronto with access to the city theatre and performance ecosystem.
