Audition Format
•Perform a principal-instrument audition (voice or a band/orchestral instrument) for a faculty panel
In-Person Audition
•Held at UIW's Luella Bennack Music Center
•Sign up via the UIW Entrance Audition Form, then watch for scheduling email from music@uiwtx.edu
•Arrive 15 minutes early to warm up in available practice rooms
•Perform your two pieces, then wait while faculty deliberate and provide feedback
•A music theory assessment is administered after the performance
•Total audition time: approximately 30-45 minutes
Online Audition
•Submit a recorded audition via Acceptd if you cannot audition in person
•Camera should capture facial expressions and the body from the knees up
•Portrait or landscape orientation accepted
•Use a smartphone on a tripod or a video camera with a microphone
•No audio processing (e.g., reverb) allowed
