•The Certificate in Stage Management is offered through the University of Rochester International Theatre Program and Department of English
Training
•Required study covers theatre context, technical theatre, consent and performance, lighting or sound/advanced production, dramatic literature, artistic process, and Stage Management
•Certificate students work as assistant stage manager on at least two Theatre Program productions and production stage manager on at least two more
•The program combines coursework with progressively responsible production assignments alongside professional directors and designers
Professional Development
•The Theatre Program strongly encourages at least one outside or summer stage-management internship and offers assistance arranging internships for qualified students
