Optional audition, interview, and portfolio for scholarship consideration only; they are not required for program admission.

Songs

Musical Theatre Audition Option

Two musical theatre selections (one upbeat, one ballad)

18-33 bars/measures each

Accompanist provided for in-person auditions

Monologues

Option A: Two Contrasting Monologues

One classic monologue

One modern monologue

Should be opposite in style

Option B: One Modern Monologue

If choosing the Musical Theatre audition option, prepare one modern monologue in addition to two MT songs

Additional Materials

Headshot (Required for Performance Audition Option)

Up-to-date headshot for in-person auditions

Resume (Required for Performance Audition Option)

Include training and performance experience

Portfolio (Required for Design/Production Interview Option)

Hard copy portfolio presented during technical interview

Variety of materials highlighting technical and design work over last four years

Design portfolios: theatre renderings, graphics, working drawings, ground plans, lighting plots, props, masks, photography

Stage Management portfolios: prompt books, calling scripts, scope of productions

Refine portfolio to discuss each entry within 10 minutes

Technical/Design portfolio interview: present hard copy portfolio for faculty review (10 minutes plus discussion)
