•Taught through the Gainesville Theatre Alliance (GTA), a nationally recognized inter-collegiate partnership between UNG and Brenau University founded in 1979
•In 2000, GTA was one of only five U.S. programs honored by the American Council on Education for academic excellence and cost-effectiveness
•Recognized for excellence by the Georgia Council for the Arts following its 2004 production of Ragtime
Training
•BFA Acting for Stage and Screen: training spans voice, movement, and both contemporary and classical acting styles
•Combines stage and on-camera/screen work, preparing actors for theatre, film, and television
•Hands-on, individualized instruction emphasizing ensemble and collaboration across two universities
Performance & Productions
•GTA mounts five productions each season across four venues, including two musicals, two plays, and a Theatre for Young Audiences show (via the WonderQuest division)
•Annual GTA New Works Festival develops and premieres new American plays
•Faculty include working professionals with Broadway and national-tour credits
Professional Development
•Active alumni network connects graduates working in New York, Los Angeles, and on national tours
•Returning alumni lead master classes and join GTA productions
