Early Major Program
•Bullet: Allows freshmen to begin theatre training immediately instead of waiting until sophomore year
•Bullet: Application to the Department may be scheduled prior to your application to the University
•Bullet: Acceptance to the Department does not guarantee admission to UNCW
Early Major Audition
•Bullet: Every applicant interested in being accepted into the Early Theatre Major is required to audition/interview before acceptance into the theatre program
•Bullet: Interview required for all Early Major applicants
•Bullet: The interview covers your experience, your career goals, and why you are interested in majoring in Theatre at UNCW
•Bullet: One monologue from a play, 60-120 seconds, required for the Performance concentration
•Bullet: Submit the audition/interview application, if possible, two weeks prior to the requested audition date
Declaring the Major
•Bullet: Current UNCW students declare via MySeaport after completing 24 credits
•Bullet: Audition/interview highly recommended but not required for regular declaration
•Bullet: Eligible to audition for department productions from day one
