Early Major Program
•Allows freshmen to begin theatre training immediately instead of waiting until sophomore year
•Application may be scheduled prior to university admission
•Acceptance to the Department does not guarantee admission to UNCW
Early Major Audition
•Interview required for all Early Major applicants
•ONE MONOLOGUE from a published play, 60-120 seconds required for Performance concentration
•Submit application two weeks prior to requested audition date
Declaring the Major
•Current UNCW students declare via MySeaport after completing 24 credits
•Audition/interview highly recommended but not required for regular declaration
•Eligible to audition for department productions from day one
