Songs

Two Memorized Vocal Solos with Piano Accompaniment

At least one solo must be performed in a foreign language

Italian recommended

French, German, and Spanish also welcome

Second solo can be in English: art song, folk song, musical theatre, jazz, or commercial music

No tracks or a cappella singing

Audition pianist provided, or bring your own pianist

Application Process

Apply to UNA first, then complete the UNA School of the Arts audition application separately

All studio requirements must be completed for audition materials to be considered complete

Teacher Education

Music education candidates complete a primary-area performance audition for music admission

Formal admission to the Teacher Education Program (TEP) follows separately during the degree

Placement

Admitted students take a music theory and aural-skills placement exam — for course placement only, not admission
