•Brass: two brief, contrasting etudes
•Woodwinds: two contrasting pieces, or one piece with contrasting styles
•Strings: two contrasting solos or etudes (one technical, one lyrical)
Scales & Technique
•Brass: three chromatically adjacent major scales with arpeggios (two-octave preferred) plus a two-octave chromatic scale
•Woodwinds: three chromatically adjacent major scales plus a chromatic scale
•Strings: two major or minor scales
•A short sight-reading excerpt is provided at the audition
