Program Recognition
•Bullet: The CAEP-accredited Bachelor of Music prepares students for K–12 music teaching and includes 97.5–103 credits in the music education program.
Training
•Bullet: History, theory, musicianship, applied study, conducting and education coursework are paired with classroom preparation and field experiences in nearby schools.
•Bullet: Students practice writing lesson plans, selecting teaching methods and materials, creating an inclusive classroom environment, and developing keyboard, composition and improvisation skills.
Performance & Productions
•Bullet: More than 15 performance groups include the Alliance Symphony Orchestra, marching and jazz bands, five choirs and repertory strings; Student Showcases provide an additional audience-facing performance setting.
